Audle Allison In His Own Words

This is the only website validly reproducing the copyrighted words of Audle Allison. In honor of Christ Center’s founders Audle and Pauline Allison this site is to share Audle’s legacy in his own words. “Truth Prevails” is the Allison family motto. These words and the family crest he carved on his monument.  So it is through his own words the truth shall prevail.  As Audle grew he let go of old ideas and prejudices. Audle needs to be understood from the end of his life, from all that he learned backwards to his first awakening. This lets all that he had become define who and what he is, rather than all that he was define what and who some have made him to be. When any biography is written, the author picks and chooses the things that makes the person into the end result that they wish them to be. As in Omar Khayyam:

“Ah, love!  Could thou and I with fate conspire to grasp the sorry scheme of things entire, would we not shatter it to bits and remold it nearer to our hearts desire. ”

Audle taught that a person is not the sum total of all the events of their life but what they have chosen from those events. Loving forgiveness gives the power to choose how life’s events shape our soul. On Audle’s monument he warns as did Omar Khayyam:

“The moving finger writes; and, having writ,  moves on: nor all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,  nor all thy tears wash out a word of it.”

Audle always said “I demand to change!” To have the courage to change, and the willingness to serve, to stand alone as a Sun of God is the very definition of Audle’s teaching.  Many times he said “all I need is one student in order to grow”. “Hard work” was his promise, that “I will love you like you have never been loved before” was his secret and “in here there is nothing to love” was the mystery of his oneness and “being loved as I have never been loved before” was the self realization of his joy. ”The teachers love is God’s love and it is always there”And how we are most like God is as God’s loves.  And God’s loves teaching is the true teacher and the true teaching is God’s loves.

Oh what a beautiful morning, birthed into eternal life

Oh what a beautiful life, lived with Christ love

Oh what a beautiful love, God’s own touch in our hearts

Oh what a beautiful joy, to meet again in God’s new day

Oh what beautiful souls, thank you our beloved Audle and Pauline
